So with the current administration's views on immigration you would never have met your wife?

I am in the same situation. The wonderful woman I am with would not have been here for me to meet if the current government in my country had been in power 10 years ago.

Unless she or you or both were illegal I don't think it would've made a difference.

I would never have even met her. She would not have been able to move here with our current rules. I am not in the US.
