That sounds like a reasonable plan.

I agree, it's been my experience that a little bit of time between gigs allows for some healthy deprogramming that usually opens the mind to obvious opportunities that are often right in front of me. This is usually when my next step and path become clearer. As a writer, you have a broad range of options if that's what you enjoy and want to continue doing.
