"Alpha Male", "Traditional Gender Roles/Values", and "Racism" is are synonyms to unearned entitlement and insecurity and the opposite of meritocracy. Here's why:

In a meritocracy hierarchical structures are formed based on merit. Examples: "Why should Alex be in charge of building widgets? Because Alex is the best at building widgets evidenced by the fact that they build the best widgets." or "Why should Alex lead/be in charge? Because Alex is the best leader, evidenced by the fact that things run smoother when they are in charge." Alex also does not have to proclaim themselves "alpha" or "dominant" because that is evident from actions they take naturally. Their actions and words have the end goal of the obvious outcome of that action and NOT of building an image of themselves in the mind of others.

"Traditional Gender Roles/Values" and "Racism" are for the people who want to exercise unearned un-earned authority that they are not by their very nature, words, or actions qualified for. Ex: "Alex should be in charge because he has a peepee or is white." or "Don't look at Alex's individual strengths (because there's nothing much to look at) but look at that stereotype over there! Give Alex the job of building widgets not because Alex builds good widgets but because some people said that people with peepees and/or white skin build good widgets."

An "Alpha Male", instead of saying confident things because he feels confident, will say things that he thinks sound confident with the end goal of SEEMING confident. He will try to take charge not because they are good at being in charge but because they feel insecure and being in charge will improve their struggling self-image. He is by nature un-confident and insecure, so he needs to pretend to be good at things he is not good at because inside he feels he's not good at anything and needs to hide that by any means necessary.

Making decisions based on stereotypes has no other purpose than keeping unqualified individuals in power while hiding their evident inadequacies behind a smoke screen of invented generalities.

So if you're out here trying to push these values I need you to know that you are outing how weak, unqualified, and insecure you are. It is very evident that you are trying to distract others from your own lack of merit. The irony is these same people are usually the ones complaining about Affirmative Action and DEI on the basis of "unearned positions and positions given out based on an a trait unrelated to the function of the position (skin color, gender, etc). How ironic that they are trying to get the same thing accomplished for themselves.

I want to lead if I have the best ideas and am the most competent one in the room. You believe you are entitled to lead because you have a peepee and/or because your ancestors are from a certain place or did a thing. We are not the same.
