My mother worked tirelessly for the opposition party during the municipal elections, hoping for a change in our local government. She was especially dedicated to the mayoral candidate, Ferdi Zeyrek, knowing he would take action to help stray animals. Last year, he won the election.

Sadly, our mayor passed away today. Three days ago, he had an accident at home and was electrocuted. I'm deeply saddened, but even more heartbroken because of how much this hurts my mother. She believed in him and worked so hard for his cause.
