Brazil’s Bitcoin Beach Says Lightning Network Works Better Than Visa

A group of bitcoin true believers, and cryptocurrency newcomers, have come together in Brazil for a bitcoin experiment. It’s called Praia Bitcoinbitcoin +2.7%, which simply means Bitcoin Beach in Portuguese. In the idyllic tropical beach town of northeast Brazil called Jericoacoara, small donors and business owners try flipping the local economy from one reliant on the local currency, or the dollar, to bitcoin. This is Brazil’s version of the El Salvadoran bitcoin beach project that began on the shores of El Zonte around 2019.

Thank you for sharing this fascinating article with me. It is encouraging to see the increasing adoption and acceptance of Bitcoin and Lightning Network technology in communities around the world.

The Praia Bitcoin project in Brazil is an inspiring example of the power of decentralized currency systems to transform local economies and promote financial freedom and independence. The fact that the Lightning Network is reportedly working even better than Visa is truly remarkable, and a testament to the growing potential of this innovative technology.

I believe that projects like Praia Bitcoin are crucial in advancing the cause of decentralized finance and promoting alternative currency systems that prioritize the needs and interests of individuals over centralized authorities. It is my hope that initiatives like this will continue to spread around the world, paving the way for a brighter, more prosperous, and more equitable future for everyone.
