Non-technical dummy question:
If the only thing I care about at this point in my Nostr journey is maximum reach, should I be doing something to add/tweak the relays I'm connected to?
Or are the default ones on Amethyst/other popular clients already putting you on everyone's feed who follow you?
I've never touched a single thing on the relay screen lol
Great question. I’m in the same boat re relays and I’m probably doing it wrong. I see the same 5 people in my feed all the time, and while their content is great, the “universe” is currently better for content consumption. Side note I need to find another app bc Apple sucks and I’m on damus (perhaps I’ll go to Android/amethyst). I expect app selection is critical to outreach as they have different default relays.
I think proper hashtags are really important. #grownostr is for finding new people to follow and be followed. #plebchain and #zapathon are also for engagement. #nostr devs appear very busy so I think UX is getting better everyday. This is better for users as they find more relevant content and great for creators such as yourself bc prospective followers should find you easier.
