I have no faith in either the UK or USA doing the right thing. My uncle was the Middle East correspondent for the FT back in the day and lived in Iran for a time. After securing an interview with Iranian President Ahmadinejad, which was SUPER hard as a western journalist, he was told by the editor to change the article, on the request of the US state department. He was only reporting what Ahmadinejad had said, nothing more, nothing less. He refused to do so.

That ended his relationship with the paper and he lived out his days as a freelance writer.

Also fuck The Guardian and the FT. Both leave their journos out to dry and are essentially propagandists.

That's sad to read but honestly I'm not surprised. I have no faith in the UK or US court system either but I'm still trying to keep a small hope for Assange nonetheless.
