I don't doom scroll on Nostr, I get in check posts of preferred identities and any receipted zaps and get out and on with my life.

I agree, but you also need to have the preferred identities here. What you prefer may not be relevant to what others prefer. This requires a large pool of users.
I've found my tribe.

fwiw I am involved with building a niche Nostr project. Hopefully attractive to normies and those that inhabit the Cellartracker and Vivino sites. V4V and creating a virtuous circular economy. Advanced enough to talk about, but not demonstrate... quite yet.
