do i need to use test flight to log in to damus with my npub? soon as i type anything at all it says invalid key, npub or nsec

Yes, this right now might only be a test flight feature. After downloading build 1.1.0 (2) it should auto log you in if you used the play store version previously. It uses the same data.
Also, you need to use your nsec (private key) to login if it asks you to login again. This is not npub (public key)
