The last 4 years has taught me that the majority of society will happily defend any position they once held, even if it’s completely obvious that they are wrong, simply to not have to admit that they were wrong. I don’t know how this tendency has made it into our DNA, but it’s awful.

I don't understand this either. Why attach ego to your decision making, makes no sense. Life is complicated and hard I change my mind all the time dgaf.

It’s also imprisoning. Letting go of things you were wrong about is so freeing. Might be why so much wisdom of the past warns against pride.

Learn from it, let it go then improve. Much better strategy than denial surely, you'd think it would be common
