Sure, *some* parts of it were. Some parts of Mumbai, Mexico City, or Accra could easily be deemed “unlivable” as well.

At the same time, *before* the war, I’d seen videos on Instagram from happy Gazans who were shopping in malls, eating in restaurants, and some even showing off their nice homes. Perhaps you didn’t see that when you visited there?

Even now, are you familiar with Chef Hamada? He built a reputation as “a passionate food blogger, sharing cafes and restaurants in Gaza and highlighting the rich culinary heritage of the region.”
