Maybe. But that’s the option you have in the us legal system. You can’t take matters into your own hand. Well you can but then you end up in jail. I mean legally that’s the option. Does the money help you forget you were raped? Probably not. Does it help you financially because you lost work or needed to pay for expensive councelling. If it’s a massive case and you get lots of money, will you like the added comfort it brings? Sure

Yeah it depends. I guess everyone is different. Some people can be more traumatized by someone flashing them in the street than a physical attack. I know women will try to get pregnant from a rich athlete so she can be set for life even if it means raising a kid as a single mom for 18 years.
