Gotta say, Greenpeace really screwed up…

Before they sold out, I actually thought positively of companies who were conscious of the environment and tried to promote doing something good.

But now, I am highly skeptical of any organization that claims to do so. I can’t be the only one either.

Not only did they complete kill their own reputation (or what image was left of it), but they also harmed the image of every other pro-environment organization (in my view).

You really can’t screw up in a bigger way than this.

They tried to profit off it like has been going on since the 60s. Literally "doomsday in 5 years" been a thing since then lol.

They just look like desperate Gore crackhead now lol

I didn’t really pay that much attention to this specific organization, but had an overall positive feeling about companies and entities that were trying to do good for the environment. But now, I have to question everything and it’s a lot more work for me. I’m sure some organizations are actually doing a lot of good but it’ll be way more difficult to figure out who is full of shit.

Completely agree my friend wish we could blockchain the charities with POW.

We really need the mission statements of these charities if only they stayed true to their word

You are certainly not the only one

You haven’t seen this? https://youtu.be/1mdrzPdAX4Y

No

Think I saw this right after watching The Big Short for the first time… What a combo 🤯😆

Watched. Sadly nothing new.

Why the assumed notion that we need to reduce emissions at all costs? What about the human flourishing that’s being sacrificed by lowered energy creation and consumption? Humanity needs fossil fuels. Even more damaging is forcing poor nations to abide by “green standards” when trying to get on their feet.

Yeah, all of these organizations either completely lose the plot and don’t understand who their supporters are or they are corrupted and serve another master loosing sight of what the organization was created to do. Either way, any free thinking person becomes jaded and skeptical of anyone claiming to do good.

There are still good organizations like that out there, but they just don't have the name recognition. They're more concerned with action on the ground than screaming so everyone can hear them. Always seems like the loudest ones are the ones with the worst reputations.

From the beginning, it has bee very discordant org. Here's one of their OG founders: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Watson

Greenpeace and a few other orgs are effectively shock-media companies. They make outrageous claims for attention, largely misrepresentation targeted for a money grab for them.

Having independent watchdog organisations to call out bad practices and environmental impact is great and needed - but their values are like PETA which is “our way or go fuck yourself” and “let’s fund ourselves with a new twisted media story every six months”.

Greenpeace is clearly in the grip of the deepstate... Otherwise why wait exactly the perfect moment for banks to make people think that bitcoin is gonna kill life on earth ? They could have push this nonsense before today.

I used to donate to greenpeace... I regret it so bad.
