I think we need a better model of bridging to activitypub. I find the bridge to be very useful but it needs to be more user controlled. Where from your fediverse or mastodon you sign up to have your content bridged. That way it’s user controlled and then we can have bridges that let anything through and others that choose what content and people to host.

Having multiple gateways would then make blocking a gateway you don’t feel comfortable with much easier.

The single big gateway is not the way.
