That looks amazing π€€
it's really the best sweet in the world!! I'm not a fan of cakes and this is a perfect substitute
Ok ... so what exactly is this & where would one get one? Im positive it would pair nicely with my morning coffee ... π€€
it's like a vanilla custard with a lot of eggs and milk and some whipped cream on top and all of that on some puff pastry.. it's just the best!!
And now I'm looking at recipes ... π
hahahahahhahaaha I hope you find a good one and if you make it, trust me, you won't regret it!
Itβs not that difficult to make, the only laborious part is the custard, which is tricky to get right (not that bad if you use a Kitchen Aid) β¦ Iβll share some pics when I take a stab at them π«‘
omg so exciting! pls share pics if you will make them! πππ
Iβll upload pics on your Bday β¦ donβt want you falling off the Cremeschnitte wagon β¦
(Seriously tho, I need the Kitchen Aid (which I have, but not here) β¦ I donβt want to spend two hours whisking eggs by hand π β¦)
ahahhahahqh yeah you definitely need it, that would not be a fun experience hahahahaha
and you're right, it pairs really nicely with some coffee βοΈ
Fucking looks delicious π
it isss the more I think about it the more I crave it, posting this maybe wasn't a good idea hahahaha π π
*Starts googling cremeschnitte near me*π you should share the adventure on here
hahahahaha I wish it was that easy, I have never eaten a good one that was made in a patisserie... unfortunately the only good ones are made by my mom or my grandma hahahahah
I think this is the same as kremes which they have in slovakia.
tried to make it for my slovak wife and it didn't work.
all recipes said "add 1 sachet of pudding". wtf do you mean? I'm *making* the pudding.
hahahaha oww
it's probably the same thing it's a thing in central Europe :)
I don't like the ones with the store bought pudding... its just not it.. it just needs a lot od eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla bean!

Looks so delicious π€€ We call it βNapoleonskakeβ
thank you for the zaps!!! ππ«
In the Netherlands a variety of this known as βTompouce" is one of the most Dutch sweets you can get. Improve to eat without getting dirty hands, but oh so good...

oh that's so cool you have your version of if! I never knew this was a thing all over Europe πͺπΊ
Traditionally known as a mille-feuille.
