What are the chances one will be able to pick up a RTX 5090 that isn’t via a scalper who’s scooped them all up ahead of anyone else?

Why? Why do you need one? The whole reason for the scalpers is from the stupid high demand driven by ludicrous time preference. You can play most games on a 1060 still. You can play most games on high with a 2070s. Not at 4k but certainly at 1080

I want to mess around with locally run AI models as well.
And unfortunately I think that AI demand will be the 5000 series’ version of the 4000 series’ cryptocurrency mining demand that drove the scalpers scooping up all the supply of them for a while.
