That's why we have a community relay preloaded in the client, that they can join. If they define their own, they can switch.

This is the way. Pre-load the config. Maybe even by way of invite from a friend.

Yes, and we allowed things like profile data and zaps, etc. without a subscription, so that it can work as a bootstrap for newbies, even if they have no money.

In a yet to be broken down ticket by way of nostr:npub1aeh2zw4elewy5682lxc6xnlqzjnxksq303gwu2npfaxd49vmde6qcq4nwx there is a pre-fund a wallet for a friend onboarding invite

BTW, I’m a fan of what nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q is doing now by integrating NWC in the client using their own node (Uncle Jim-style) so anyone can instantly spin up a wallet during the onboarding process. Is it custodial? Yes. But does it solve a big problem? Absolutely.

Yakihonne is a great option. Had issues with wallet creation. Will try again.

It worked perfectly for me. You can even use the NWC connection as your default Alby wallet.

I was just able to zap from Damus to my Yakihonne Lightning address with no problem.
