If we ignore the topic of how much impact the President actually has on GDP growth (I'd argue not as much as people think), based on which part of the graph was Obama's term vs Trump, you really think Trump deserves the credit for what we see in this graph?
i am not an american, so my view may be different from yours. but based on the graph, yes
you plot it wrong. observation period should be 1 or 2 years after he takes office. so for trump the start date of observation should be 2018 or 2019.
