Zorin -> Fedora -> Vanilla
--
Zorin was great for casual usage and I recommend it to everyone who isn't trying to write code.
Fedora has excellent access to modern packages but maintaining a stable desktop OS is a PITA.
Vanilla has a stable desktop OS like Zorin, except that it's immutable and all apps/binaries are installed into containers. This gives it a selection of software that is even superior to Fedora without sacrificing stability.
Best of both worlds.
