Fyi, the correct terminology is “Asian people” when referring to people in Asia or Asian descent/heritage. “Oriental” is an outdated and offensive term dating to when Europeans (Westerners) went to Asia which they referred to as “the Orient” in search of spices, etc. It’s associated with exoticism and colonialism.

It’s an outdated terminology like when “Negro” was used for Black/African Americans in USA.

Oriental rug is fine. But use Asian when referring to people, ok?
