My local halal grocers only stopped stocking pepsi/coke about a month ago... InshaAllah we are still early.
It's two pronged for a Muslim. One is in this life and one in the next. I don't want it to be in my balance in thereafter. So, yes, I feel better this way. If it the stock doesn't go down, that's not on me.
