#Epilepsy Report

Today on my drive home from work I suffered a Grand Mal seizure while driving. I crashed into a telephone pole and totaled my car to the point where firefighters had to cut the vehicle door off to get me out.

I’m grateful that no one else was harmed and I feel terrible that I potentially put anyone else in danger. Please forgive for this. I am truly sorry.

I was taken to a hospital 🏥 and checked out. I have many bruises and am sore as all hell. My head hurts from the seizure. However, I am safe and thank God for this as well.

I will not be driving for awhile. I have to go six months again without a seizure in order to get my license back, but even that I worry about.

Holy shit dude!! I’m glad you’re still with us. Get some rest and take care of yourself. ❤️‍🩹

I’m sorry to hear that. Heal soon. It’s not your fault you’re disabled. Please know that your self-reflection is good. It’s hard to accept certain things when one is chronically ill. I know this. Empathy

Sorry for that.. It's not your fault , it was epileptic attack.

I believe your doctor has prescribed you an antiepileptics.

Other than meds be sure to rest enough , sleep well

😢 take care 4now

Heal up, count blessings. Have friend had same thing and stopped driving completely. Had a brain op to try to relive pressure thought to be cause of epilepsy. Seizures stopped but he still doesn’t drive. It’s a hard thing to go through for fear of other outcomes. Reach out for help if you need it, you may not be aware of psychological effects. Get well!

Holy shit man. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Wish you the best of luck healing up and with everything going on.

Dan I'm so sorry this happened to you! Thank God you're OK and nobody was hurt. All the best in your healing journey and I believe you've got this...😘😘😘

Seizures are rough. I have a brother that lives with them. I wish I could help more.

He had one once and took out a fire hydrant, that sent water shooting into the air just like on the movies. The police officers were so busy laughing and joking about the whole accident scene they forgot to write him a ticket and he got off scott free. 😂 i don't even think his insurance went up.

He did figure out quality B vitamins helped him, and didn't have seizures for about 15 years, but they came back a few years ago.

Whoa so sorry to hear this. That's gotta be scary all around. Glad you're relatively ok.

I've been battling neuro symptoms for 4yrs. Tremor, weakness, vision stuff. The lack of independence and "full able capacity" is really frustrating.

Having to hyper-plan little things, limit other things. Helpless and held back. I can relate on that level.

wow, what a blessing that you’re still with us. i hope you find peace, and get some rest. sending hugs your way ❤️‍🩹

Rest up 🫂

Thanks man

Glad you’re ok and no one was hurt. You must be exhausted after all that

Very. Hitting me today. Sore and tired.

Wishing you all the best 🤙

So sorry to read this. Realizing that having epilepsy keeps you from enjoying the “normal” (some might say essential) life conveniences we all take for granted … like driving. Ho do you manage transportation now?

So glad you’re ok.

Back to asking for rides and riding my bicycle.

Was “walkability” something you considered (have to consider) when applying for jobs or finding housing? Wow.
