I'm suspicious of the "intelligence failure" that allowed Oct 7 (a la 9/11). However, Hamas has been using "human shields" since the US funded and armed them to oppose Arafat. Hamas shoots any human shields that try to leave.

Israel's choices:

1) attack Hamas - World: "Aaahh! You are killing innocent people and children!"

2) wait for another Hamas attack - Israeli's "Aaahh! You are supposed to protect us!"

3) contain Hamas - World: "Aaahh! You are isolating innocent people and children!"
