Taking a break from baseball this evening to reacquaint myself with a familiar frustration: the slow pace-of-play in the average NFL game. It's a real problem, but you know, they've got cars and beer to sell during all these long, drawn-out breaks.

You can’t seriously be complaining about football as a baseball fan. ALL major sports are inundated with ads/sponsors/challenges/etc. don’t act like baseball is any different you silly guy 🤷‍♂️😬👊

Dunno if you've really consumed baseball over the last couple of seasons, but the average baseball game lasts 2 hrs 30 minutes now. The NFL game is still well over 3 hours, with many more commercial breaks.

I consume both for gambling purposes for fun/and for others well beings. It’s 3hrs 12 for a nfl game, you are splitting hairs at 40 mins, I agree with you too, I’m just saying they both take astronomically longer than they both should

MLB is at least trying, and the pitch clock makes a world of difference. The NFL knows they don't have to try for a lack of viewers, and so things stay WAY slower than they need to be.

MLB is just a much much more boring sport to watch overall period tho, so comparing the two is still apples and oranges.

Once again, I agree. Especially bc goodell is a filthy cunt and just wants people stuck to a tv longer for games. Baseball at least made moves. But they also let the astros win the title with no repercussions that season so 🤷‍♂️😂 it’s all clown shoes to me too man
