Personally dealing with it now. My “political views” were from low morality people apparently. But no one asked what my political views were. My political views seem to be susceptible to changing with data. But of course a kind, curious and solution oriented conversation to keep friends and family ties from severing is harder for people that need to be right than cutting off family and friends.
