Oh, that reminds me, heard another trick is honey and garlic. Soak garlic cloves in honey overnight or something, would have to dig up the post, but a couple people swore by it

Yeah that’s what my wife prefers is something she calls “fire cider” it’s ACV and garlic cloves, honey, lemons, tumeric, ginger, jalapeños/dried chiles, and oranges that she leaves soaking for months.

Me, I just think I can eat the rest of those but I only want to drink the ACV.

“With the mother” is a vinegar thing. It’s the organism that feeds off the ethanol converting it into acetic acid, the primary component of vinegar.

In Kombucha making, the mother is usually called a SCOBY.
