Probably one of the most significant and strong photos from yesterday's elections in Venezuela.

Our brothers, the sons and daughters of Bolivar. Beyond passing elections, more than 200 years unite us.

We love you. 🇻🇪🇦🇷 nostr:nprofile1qqs0wa4ucy38r0nel3cmv40ne0lt829pd8enacfntlxqcg5znyqa5jspz3mhxw309aex2mrp0yhxummnw3ezucn89uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwdehhxarj9e3xwtcpz4mhxue69uhhqctfvshxumewwd68ytnrwghspt46h5

Can you explain the context? Who is the lady in the white shirty? Is she the opposite leader?

The lady is an opposition candidate. The armed forces that guard the voting sites are historically aligned with the chavismo who has always supported and vindicated them. And she refuses to greet her.

The opposition candidate has also asked the United States to intervene militarily in Venezuela.

Not everything is black and white. Let's not just fall into those analyses, but the photo is very powerful.

It is hard for the military to understand the pain of the inflation when they get looked after. Remember the romans, the military were the last to have their coins meddled with for a reason. Venezuela has too much potential wealth, using “foreign influence” line is too easy for a dictator because of memories. Tough times for the people. Demonstrates long term consequences of meddling in other countries just as much as it demonstrates the perils of autocracy and inflation. Hope this doesn’t get violent. Peace out 🫂

Rome was a great devaluator of its currency in its decline. Humanity does not learn it after 3000 years 🧠🧡
