Finally hit payback on my espresso machine. Took ≈6 months. Now every coffee I make on this thing saves me about 20,000 Sats.

Another thing that buying this machine has afforded me is more time. Pre-machine I’d get an espresso almost everyday, which would cost me at least 15 minutes (going to a shop & waiting in line). In 6 months having an espresso machine at home has saved me at least 45 hours! That is actually insane when I quantify it.

Also, avoiding the phthalates in disposable plastic cups at scale is a huge plus.

And those things are built, if not to last forever, at least to be maintained. You retain its resale value in capital in addition to all those other benefits…

Yeah you’re spot on. I have seen reviews on similar pro-Sumer machines where they are fully operational after a decade of use. Just have to service the machine and use it right. Low time-preference ftw
