Go for one month without using likes/reactions at all on nostr and see how your behavior and engagement with others changes. Then make up your mind about the value of likes.

I don’t necessarily disagree with your views on this generally but I don’t get why you’re on this tear?
If you transposed activity from incumbent social platforms and calculated earnings for popular posts on #nostr, the V4V economy would be flying.
Nostr is too new and doesn’t have the incumbent userbase today for those small zaps to add up to meaningful revenue. It could come with scale but shitting on people for 21 sat zaps isn’t going to grow the userbase to help that cumulative effect, and you’re not going to guilt people into zapping more than they’re comfortable with either.
