Yes. I told a few of my friends and they just said they'd text me. 🤣

😭😭

Oooof. Too relatable

pain 😂

To go bread pls

im not good at math ser

I meant to write to go bed but I've had a few drinks

The struggle is real.

Isn't Session that one that is backed by a shitcoin?

Signal?

This is what I hear but I don't see any shitcoins on it

Yes. And so is signal

Why is SimpleX superior to Session?

No shitcoins. Clear infrastructure.

Session depends on servers that are supposedly run by a network of providers that are incentivized by the issuance of new shitcoins (in fact they are probably run by the founders of the shitcoin).

SimpleX can work on any number of server, anyone can run their own server or use other servers, use public service ones, pay for servers, use friends' servers.

Thanks. I don’t know the specifics about #Session. Obviously I see how it could be an issue if it’s not permisionless but in general I don’t see a problem with the systems that rely on #crypto economics to make it viable for participants to maintain (as long as all participants play by the same rules). I really don’t get the anti-innovation bent in the #Bitcoin maxi mindset. Without an innovative mind, Bitcoin would have never seen the light of the day.

I stopped trying to move people. Will continue using SMS, Signal, Telegram, Discord, Nostr, Briar, SimpleX depending on context and the entity involved. I briefly tried Session, Conversations and even Status but found them too limiting and annoying to use. SimpleX is OK, but constrained by device. Signal was convenient until they dropped SMS, and I'd rather use Nostr for DMs vs Signal

Yes, me too 😅

I still have a lot of friends who use SMS! I got them to use Signal and then Signal rugpulled its SMS. Flirted with Session, but it looks like SimpleX is the way to go.

Why whats wrong with session messenger?
