1. 🌎 It’s global. From the 1M downloads, our top 5 markets by active players are US, GB, DE, BR, PH. This often surprises people as it seems most “web3 games” are played almost entirely in emerging markets.

2. 👑 Discord is king. We focused on Discord from day one and have 100,000 players there. We built our systems around it with custom bots, events, plus 90% of our player support runs through it. Infact, 10% of players who play Bitcoin Miner, join our Discord…
This community helps us with so many things; player feedback, team morale, new launches, market insights, QA, localisation, long term retention, and so much more.
3. 🎮 It’s clear that “Play to Earn” projects have burned market perception of a value creation play model. The new definition I think fits better is Rewarded Play so will be using this going forward. (Credit goes to Mark @ BearHugGames for bringing this term to light)
4. ♻️ Player Rewards. Despite earning the majority of our revenue from Tier 1 markets, our players can collect the same amount of bitcoin no matter where they are in the world. We think this is a cool thing and has proven sustainable so plan to continue this in our upcoming games
5. 🔐 Next up, security. Giving away value (bitcoin) attracts bad actors (hackers/exploiters). This means an exploit that is usually harmless (complete the game faster/high leaderboard score) can turn into a costly exposure. When paired with the anonymity blockchains introduce, this means a player could spin up multiple accounts to exploit the system. We have to work a lot harder than ever before to protect the game and our players.
6. 🚀 Our biggest update in Q1 was adding weekly events that allowed players to blast a rockership to the moon every weekend. These have been loved by players and it shows with our spikes in active users and feedback in Discord. It’s helping us invest and scale the game more!
