π€ loads of the pubs being submitted to bitcoinpubcompany.com don't even have websites. they're very independent. It would be pretty trivial for me to build a platform for them to manage their own 'website' on bitcoinpubcompany.com βΒ like this https://www.urbanpubsandbars.com/venues/the-antelope-tooting βΒ but ... I know how these things go. There needs to be appetite for it from operators in order to warrant building it. Maybe I'll just build out venue profile pages that don't require them to self manage and then take it from there... That still builds seo traction for pubs accepting bitcoin...

thanks mike π« or in the words of Hayek, this is our sly and round about way!
It gives me reason to focus on building SEO traction for the venue profiles, once the venues take notice I can then provide them a service of self managing. The vision emerges! ποΈ
Part of this could be the pub equivalent of the Michelin guide.
Not like CAMRA, which is just about the quality of real ales, but the general look, feel, welcome and offerings available.
Can I be in charge of reviews please πββοΈ
haha yes this could become a fun project! and a very important one. love it. lets hope traction emerges. having said that, it already seems to be! π€
CAMRA is so dull

not sure if you ever came across the epicurean club. it sold for a few million to someone a few years ago and then was closed down, but it was basically a directory for hospitality that gained so much traction it accrued value... so... there is precedent for these things
No, Iβve never heard of it.
Interesting π€
it's difficult to find anything at all on them now, they rebranded to 'Loupe' and then closed down during 2020 I think but they were on the path to becoming as important to boutique hotel operators as booking.com etc. at one stage. anyway. not important
