8 different popular K-Cup style coffee makers were tested for bacteria

“Testing the water tank, the spot where you put the k cup, the spout, and the tray, and we sent off all the samples” to a lab

🚨 They tested 20 machines, ALL 20 tested positive for

- E. Coli

- Cephaloticoccus

- Streptococcus

- Pseudomonas aeruginosa

- And a whole bunch of stuff that you don't wanna hear about when it comes to a hot cup of coffee

“I thought you would find something. I didn't think you would find something that could really make us sick.”

How many people are actually getting sick though?

Wouldn’t the coffee coming out at more than 50 degrees denature any bacteria in the actual coffee?

I don’t personally drink coffee but I know plenty of people who use machines like this regularly and I don’t see them getting sick anymore than anyone else.
