I know it’s not your point, but political parties are kind of global. Some anyway.

There are associations of various parties across countries like greens, social democrats, neoliberal parties etc. And of course that’s how Marxism started as the socialist international. :) The associations make more sense when there is some sort of political unity say in the Europe Union or semi-connected countries like Australia and New Zealand.
