Seems making the process of running LN Nodes simple, and liquidity readily available and there being tens of thousands of nodes could be the answer to giving the middle finger to a Blackrock type. But your concerns did make me aware of a situation I was not really keeping tabs on. Thanks for the post

We need to get more people running nodes and comfortable with that.

You need to run a full node to open a lightning channel.

This can be done on modest older hardware, but it need 24 /7 up time.

My network is too intermittent and few cloud provides allow/ will let you plus the cost for storage is now a killer.

Looking to go raspberry pi and run it on a rented network.
