Another day, another bitcoiner who’s bearish on nostr. Why? Because relays, because websockets, because DID is architecturally more interesting.

Work to do, nostriches.

What's to be bearish on relays?

The (fair, I think) criticism that they could trend toward few, vertically scaled relays because of insufficient economic incentive, thereby eroding decentralization.

But then again with umbrels and what not it's becoming so easy to spin up a relay alongside all the other self-hosted tools people use. And loss of data needs only happen once for people to realise they probably should run a relay if at all able.

I agree. It’s why I’m bullish.

When your salary depends on not getting it ...we know the saying..

True. His does not. He works in bitcoin.

i'm not a native speaker when it comes to english, but what does bearish mean? πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚

Ah, yes. In US markets (think Wall Street), a bear is the symbol for negative sentiment, while a bull is synonymous with positive sentiment.

πŸ˜‚ so bear is a synonym for longtimeloser

I would argue Yes!
