Which it isn’t. Color perception in vertebrates is regulated by opsin protein reactions in retinal cone and rod cells, which are limited to 3 base pigments, and their combinations. Making total colors perceived a static maximum number. But I get it, pseudo-esoteric folklore is fun. 🤩
