I find the timing of this discussion(with the upcoming halvering) somewhat questionable. The hashrate is ath(to the extreme) , BTC price is low, difficulty is high and the upcoming halvening is starting to scare miners so they come up with yet another scheme to make money?

Don't get me wrong, years ago when this had some traction I really wondered why this was implemented. I guess miners had plenty of options back then with all the shitcoins they could potentially mine? I mean, why now? Is liquid or lighting actually failing? Or is this just more BS

Timing is possibly due to the boring price action. #Bitcoin anons are looking for a way to fight and bear/crab markets are the perfect time for that.

Really, I think with changes like this, there are bigger incentives that make a play. You might even want to watch out for bad/state actors that want to implement bips because they want to exploit it's power.
