Yeah I did it by recent events since we can lurk but the idea for me is once you send an event you’re “in” until you time out.

I just realized you are using NIP-28 where I’m just subscribing to NIP-01 kind 1 events currently. I may need to re-think my implementation or make a separate version/switch/something.
My idea was to have the console client connect to a single (for now) “IRC” purposed relay where the users of that relay would persist chats via event type 1. I’m now thinking about the pros and cons of each.
Yeah I was following the kind 4x events with the channels.
I coded it with a single relay partly because I’m still figuring it all out and because I don’t know if I want the trouble of having to balance the visibility across multiple relays (and potential spam you would get with that)
There are trade offs there and I’m just figuring it all out.
