as a technical person, i really like the simplicity of the Nostr protocol, and how it basically does what i've been complaining that ActivityPub should have done for years. you're even less at the mercy of the whims of one person/company on Nostr than you are on the Fediverse. but it's challenging to make lightweight clients. i think intelligent spam filtering aggregate relays are going to be important for Nostr.
