#plebchain Hey guys, I usually don't go out of my way to orange pill friends or family, but since I've read Bitcoin Standard and Fiat Standard from #[0] I simply can't let them continue oblivious to the Fiat slave wheel. Share your strategies or stories how you have Orange pilled your friends n fam. My go to these days is having them read the bitcoin standard for starters.

Andreas Antonopoulos was HUGE help for me too. Youtube videos abound. His early stuff still is great.

The problem with this whole concept is it takes years of touching points. Deep consideration. And gradual progress.
And even still part of you thinks you might just be drinking the kool-aid.

Best way is show them the problem. No one cares about a cure until they realize they have cancer.
1) for intellectuals: bitcoin standard
2) for lazy intellectuals: youtube documentary "the money masters" 3hr
3) for the plebs: 3 part movie "Atlas shrugged" (free on youtube) because they're never going to read the book.
Are they interested in history? If so, show them how special bitcoin is, breaking a millenia long cycle of human history.
In the past, it was a big deal when the church was decoupled from the state.
That took hundreds of years. Now, for the first time since millenia, money is completely seperated from the state.
That´s a good approach, problem is that most people , they have no fk clue how the Fiat system works , and how big of a problem it has become. Or the implications of separating money from the state and what that implies. Most people nowadays they are nothing more than walking zombies. Also from my past engagements, the general idea I get whenever BTC is mentioned is that they are already late to the party. "Ohh I wish I would have bought it at $X"

Here’s what has worked for me.
1. Focus only on those who ask you. Never try to jam it down someone’s throat. Make them aware that you have the knowledge and they’ll come to you when they’re ready!
2. Compare it to our current system.
Fixed vs unlimited supply
Known vs unknown supply
Decentralized vs centralized
Inclusive vs exclusive
*tell them about what happened in 1971 and what’s happened to the world since then
3. Set up a wallet for them and send them SATS.
This is most important - and I learned this from #[3]
Don’t send them to a KYC exchange where they have to sign away their third child to set up an account.
Get them a WoS and send them some SATS on lightning.
People are usually blown away of how fast it is and how many SATS they have.
This gets them interested enough to continue learning on their own or reach out with more questions. They now have skin in the game and it only cost you $.20. You could even have a wallet specifically for this.
