The name of the software is XMrig and not XMR, so that is where your confusion in the assumption comes from.

Nah, CPU mining is definitely not profitable & hasn’t been for a very long time now. But it is great for educationals & workshops so that people can get an understanding of what Bitcoin mining is, how to assign a worker to a pool, etc…
