Zaps raise the standard for payments worldwide. Aside from non time sensitive transactions, everything before zaps is now old technology.
The impact of zaps is hard to measure today and will be tremendous.
Of course this assumes the world is not full of blissful idiots and zaps actually get adopted.

Most likely. People don’t like handling their own money yet alone the security of their money. “Be your own bank” is not an appealing slogan to those in the western world at least.
