IME, women who are into polyamory have extremely high needs for attention and power. The sex is mostly a means to an end.

My experience is that some promiscuous women are pretty "highly charged", like there's some kind of physiological imbalance that greatly increases their needs relative to other girls. But there are also those women you mentioned who are extremely manipulative and narcissistic. A couple of different types and I've been involved with both.
The concern I have though is the data are what they are. It's not like we can have our head in the sand anymore. Promiscuity has been normalized and you have a situation where early 20s women are already mentally destroyed by being used and discarded too many times. Not a great pool to be picking from.
I'm not even against marriage ideally, but this is like trying to fight against the weather.
