Has anyone had good luck running Umbrel on a Raspberry Pi 4?

I've been running it for quite some time and a lot of the time it has some issue or another.

Only thing I can get to work right on mine is bitcoin core.

I ran Umbrel for over 2.5 years. I only ever had one issue. My SD card died. It was a quick and easy fix. I was back up and running fairly quickly.

Several months back, I built my own node from scratch because I wanted to do more and could no longer use a cookie cutter node.

For basic use, a Raspberry Pi 4 is fine, but it doesn't have the power that some need to do more.

I've replaced to SD once. It just doesn't seem to run for longer than a week at a time. Now it won't even restart. Time to take out the troubleshooting toolkit.

Something weird is going on

Got some storage and memory issues it appears.

Crap, nostr no edits strikes again...

I've run one for a few years now. Occasionally my Electrum server goes wonky and needs a reset. Otherwise it's pretty reliable.

It's been very decent.

Minimise the apps you are running on it. Just bitcoin, lightning and one Management.

Optimise lightning DB regularly or set it up to optimise on restart. You don't want bigger than 3GB.

You have 8GB model?

It is on a 4gb.

Also it struggled when mempool was full of ordinals.... Uninstalling most apps like mempool.space helped.

I have been running one for around a year now with no issues except it gets hot sometimes. Not sure I hooked up my fan correctly.
