I’m not a “He’s playing 4D chess!“ guy, but if 70+ countries have begun material negotiations, this could easily be a concession to keep it moving.

True. We are all speculating. I didn’t think Trump would pause tariffs until Powell committed to slashing interest rates. That seems like it’s out the window now.
