The Nextcloud Cookbook app is a recipe app that does a great job, plus it synchronizes your recipes across all devices & OS.

If you don't have a Nextcloud server, but want to try it out, [Murena.io](https://Murena.io) is free Nextcloud/email service that offers the Nextcloud Cookbook app in their "Experimental" section.

Here are some of the features Cookbook offers:

- Adds recipes automatically, just paste in the URL of the recipe. (sometimes doesn't work on smaller sites, but works surprisingly well overall)

- Ingredients can be checked off, like a shopping list.

- Timers for cook times.

- Instruction steps can be checked off.

- Works in browsers, which is good for Linux phones.

- You can share your Nextcloud Recipe folder with others such as your spouse.
