The usability of Primal’s wallet makes it a go-to for onboarding friends and family. An important factor of that is its ability to receive onchain payments into the “same” balance.

I believe cashu is Lightning only, by design. It would be cool if a wallet/mint could initiate a boltz swap or something

Not by design. Ecash in general can represent many different underlying assets. Stablecoins for example. On-chain payments are on the roadmap. Managing the UTXO’s sounds like the difficult part.
