The normie will instantly get turned off by any sort of mandatory monetary investment up front. It's been a hard enough struggle as it is to shake the perception that Nostr doesn't run on BTC blockchain and is independent of it. Most who have this perception think #nostr is just another shitcoin scam messaging/social media app. We don't need confirm their biases as it will both hurt BTC and Nostr adoption at the same time.
