The movie that comes to mind is Alien 3. The first thing it did was retroactively sadden the ending of Aliens. Ripley then marched to an inescapable death in a prison populated only by unlikable characters. Watching it left me in a dark place, wondering if I was wasting my life with my entertainment choices. My reaction to Leaving Las Vegas was similar.

Then you see the thing and your like what??

Prison planet of been... 1 lady.... And an ugly yellow filter across the whole movie. Which I get... It's his style, he does it on literally every movie...

But like... Alien has an established aesthetic... You're going into a franchise that isn't yours.. maybe tone it down a little so it's subtle like in your other movies and people don't notice? Or like just don't at all? But no he's like HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YELLOW BITCH THE WORLD IS YELLOW BITCH I INVENTED COLD PLAY SONGS BITCH
